Fonzie in army reserve under Kirk - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I noticed in one ep, Fonzie is made to go to the army reserve under Officer Kirk (argh!). I thought Fonzie was able to stay out of the army cause of his bum knee. Also, did they give him a crew cut? *passes out from the horror

Yep, Fonz served in the army under Kirk. There was a mixup somehow, and they drafted him. Kirk, as always, was rude to him! When the men went on a 20 mile run, and Fonz was the only one who didn't break a sweat (Fonz to Roger, "I was about to break a sweat, but I told my glands to stop!") Kirk got an attitude and told Fonzie that the only way he could get a weekend pass (which he needed to go to Heather's birthday and fullfill his promise to her-- she wanted to blow out her candles with her Mom on one side of her and Fonzie on the other side) was to lick his boots. Fonzie answered, "Sorry I don't get passes the same way you get promotions."

No, Fonz never got a crew cut, luckily! He AWOLed to go to Heather's birthday party and snuck back in. But, just as he got in, Roger gave him a letter which said fonz was released from the army because of his bum knee.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I get a kick out of Officer Kirk. He cracks me up.

I totally agree! Some of the episodes with him are my faves. I just love seeing Fonzie tease him, though.

OMG..I actually got to see the episode the other day!

But yes, I agree...I love it when Kirk's on!!! Because, in the end..the FONZ wins!

Actually he snuk out for Heather's birthday party. when he went back he found didn't even need to go back because he got his relize form.
