I'm new around here, and I would love to know which 1960s family sitcoms you watched as a kid (in the 1960s or later). Personally, I was a big Bewitched fan, and annoyed my family by watching every episode on a loop on DVD.
(Bonus points if you know what show my username is referencing - although it's not strictly 1960s.) I am also currently doing a PhD project on 1960s family sitcoms and people's memories of watching them as children. So if you have 10 minutes and would be interested in contributing to this project, it would be great if you could complete the survey (link below). Responses are anonymous. Thanks! Yes, I also remember seeing Bewitched in the 1960s. I also remember seeing The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet during that decade, since my parents had that on.
Also, all the CBS comedies of that era--Green Acres, Hillbillies, Gomer, Andy. On NBC the only one I remember watching at the time was Get Smart. Oh, and I forgot to mention--The Munsters and The Addams Family. |

I mainly remember watching The Munsters and I still watch it today. I loved watching it after school.

In the mid-to-late '80s, I watched The Donna Reed Show, My Three Sons, Make Room for Daddy (which was more '50s, I guess, but a big chunk of it was '60s), Dennis the Menace, The Patty Duke Show, Mister Ed, and Dobie Gillis all on Nick at Nite. I also watched The Munsters and The Addams Family on TBS (the former also on Nick at Nite in the '90s).

Born in 1982 but I grew up watching these the most in reruns:
The Beverly Hillbillies Petticoat Junction Green Acres Bewitched The Andy Griffith Show |

In the very early '70s, mainly (in syndication):
The Beverly Hillbillies The Lucy Show I also vaguely remember seeing Hazel at that time, and seeing my brother watch Petticoat Junction. Later, closer to the mid- '70s (obviously again in syndication): Bewitched Family Affair Gilligan's Island I Dream of Jeannie Green Acres My Three Sons I don't remember when I first saw The Addams Family, That Girl, TAGS, Gomer Pyle, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Munsters, but in every case I believe it was before I reached my teens. |
