(edit: also have questions 11-20 below the 1-10 questions)
My brother was watching "Cheers" just now and I said I'm going to play on the computer. He said go make me a tv quiz, so I did. These are the questions that came off the top of my head. I have 10 more, but I'll save those for later. This is a pretty stupid quiz! 1. What 80's show lasted from 1982 to 1989 ? 2. In what city did 3's Company take place? 3. From what 80's show did Jan Hammer have a No. 1 hit? (clue, took place in a Southern state.) 4. Who was the first Darren-Dick Sargeant or Dick York? 5. After Mrs. Garrett left the Facts of Life, who took her place? (either the character's name or real life name). 6. Which two Golden Girls characters were also on Mama's Family? 7. Name a spinoff of a spinoff. 8. What was the name of the pub that the 3's company characters went to? 9. After Ron Howard left Happy Days, who was the star? 10. Name 3 tv shows that derived from a motion picture. |

After Mrs. Garrett left the Facts of Life, who took her place? (either the character's name or real life name). Beverley Ann played by Cloris Leachman (who is most famous as Phyllis Lindstrom on "Mary Tyler Moore"). 6. Which two Golden Girls characters were also on Mama's Family? I think you got them all except 3 and 7...but I'm not 100% sure! I thought sure FTies started in 82, but could be wrong. With 7, RFD was a spinoff of Andy Griffith, but was Andy a spinoff of another show? Beverly Hillbillies maybe? ! I know they all used "Sara" as their operator...then again I'm not too up on 60's shows. Good job!

The Andy Griffith Show was a spin off of an episode of the Danny Thomas Show telecast in 1960 titled "Danny meets Andy Griffith" except Danny was meeting Andy Taylor in fictional Mayberry, North Carolina where he and the family were brought in by the good sheriff for speeding (Danny was on his way to Florida for a gig). Ronny Howard also appeared in this episode as did the actress who played Aunt Bee, but she didn't portray Bee in this episode. Deputy Barney Fife was not included.
p.s. Another spin-off of a spin-off would be Good Times. Since Maude was a spin-off of All in the Family and Florida was Maude's maid on Maude and then she got her own show. |

All correct except unanswered 12 (nbc show for Dick Clark),
and unanswered 16, 19, 20. The one I was thinking for on ABC for Dick Clark was American Bandstand, but Pryamid's ok too. |

I believe the NBC Dick Clark series would be "Bloopers and Practical Jokes" which he co-hosted with Ed McMahon.

Miami Vice! 10. Name 3 tv shows that derived from a motion picture. The Waltons (from "The Homecoming", 1971) The Brady Bunch (from "Yours, Mine, and Ours", 1966, even though Sherwood Schwartz submitted the idea long before the movie!) I can't think of any others, but aren't there some connections between The Wonder Years and "Stand By Me"? |
