Someone mentioned John Karlen in a different thread and I just have to say that he was ONE phenomenal actor in his role as Willie Loomis. All the parts he played in Dark Shadows was so good and believable.

Yeah, he's a good one. Willie is so disturbed, you know with him having to keep Barnabas's secret. And when he starts to panic! Ever see John Karlen on "Cagney & Lacey"? He was great on that too, as Tyne Daly (Mary Beth Lacey)'s husband Harvey.

John Karlen is one of the best actors on Dark Shadows. His mannerisims are so different for some of his characters. For instance, his pre-Barnabas Willie (which was only on for like five episodes) was a lot different from Willie after he released Barnabas. His second role on the show, Carl Collins, comes on the show on Monday. I've heard nothing but good things about John Karlen as Carl.
