Hmm...I could possibly see why she didn't want any FOL questions or questions abour her love life, but I'm wondering about the Lisa deal.

I can understand the Lisa thing, and totally the love life thing, but, I'm wondering about the FOL thing, I mean, it WAS a part of her life...she can't just pretend it never happened.

But, about the Lisa thing...maybe she was afraid they'd ask too many questions about Lisa and hey whole conversation would come to revolve around Lisa. I mean, ya know the whole, questions about religion and all Lisa's new publicity and everything. JMo...

You might be right. I just hope Kim isn't going all Tina Louise on us. You know how Tina makes a stink about "My name is not Ginger, it's Tina." She makes a stink about people only knowing her on GI. Which that is an awful kind of attitude because chances are if she hadn't been on GI, people wouldn't even recognize her. Some people get many breaks, and some people only get one big break.

Kim doesn't want to be trapped in the career box. She wants to be known for all of her work, and just not as Tootie on FOL. I'm sure some people (not intentionally) kind of type cast her. I'm sure if somebody sees her walking down the street, they may be so shocked that they forget her name and they call out 'Hey Tootie! There's gonna be trouubbblee."

I hope that made sense. You are right CRF. She shouldn't forget about it totally or be embarassed about it, or whatever. jmo

I agree...and also want to add something to that comment about people "forgetting her name and calling out 'Hey Tootie!' "
I think a LOT of people dont' WANT to distinguish between character and actress. So, they don't. Personally, I would be happy to be known as any of the girls from FOL...it's not like any of their characters were horrible! I mean, sure, they had their faults, but, everyone does. They should just consider themselves lucky that they're knwon as the good, morally correct people from FOL, rather than like...playboy models or something. I can't understand why Kim or Nancy would make such a big deal about it, when both of them have moved on and gone to bigger things, and done a LOT of other acting jobs. I mean, at least people remember them as SOMEONE...in most cases it's probably someone that was really important to them or still is really important to them. Someone they connect with. I think it would be cool to be known by fans as my character(if I were a professional actress) because, chances are, if people remember you(even if it's only by your character) it means you made a difference in their lives, or your acting set you apart from the rest of the group...THAT...is pretty damn important...and special.JMO

You know, from my observations Kim Fields seems a little concieted (sp?) and I just dont get good vibes from Kim. I love her as an actress, but she seems a little mean... please dont get mad at me!!!

Kim's conceited for not wanting to be known as Tootie anymore but Nancy isn't conceited for not wanting to be known as Jo? That doesn't make sense. At least Kim pulled though and made the reunion while Nancy claimed she was too busy for one. She could have sucked it up and made the reunion. But oh well, I guess that's the way history meant it be then, huh?

That's an interesting point about Kim and the reunion. I never really thought of it in that perspective before. Kim could've said 'Hell no, I'm not Tootie anymore. I'm not doing it'. I wonder if they upped the price for Kim to appear? It really wouldn't have been much of a reunion if it only had Blair, Natalie, and Mrs. G. I know they could've tossed in some of the later season people, like Pippa (barf) or Andy or even Beverly Ann. The writers of the reunion prob. thought many people didn't even remember Bev. Ann, Andy, or Pippa enough to actually bring them back.

Case in point: On Mayberry R.F.D Andy and Helen got married and had a kid. They named him Andy Jr. They didn't even mention Andy Jr. in the 'Return to Mayberry' movie. It's because people wouldn't even remember Andy Jr. because Opie was the prime kid in the Taylor household.

Even if Kim is a bit conceited (I wouldn't know) she did go back to the role.

I've got another question about the FOL reunion script. Okay, I wonder if Nancy would've accepted if it had been a better script? Some people do turn down reunion roles because the script sucks. I read on one Batman board (not on the Batman board at Sitcoms Online) that Yvonne Craig (Batgirl) turned down the role in the Batman reunion because the script was awful. This guy met her at Madison Square Garden or somewhere and asked her if she was going to do anything in the reunion movie. The reunion movie hasn't aired yet, so I don't know how bad the script was yet. Some people figured the writers didn't ask her to appear, but others bought the explanation of the bad script. You never know in either case.

You know, I dont remember me putting ANYTHING about Kim not wanting to be Tootie anymore. I dont know how you got that out of what I said. I just said that she seems a little mean and thats MY OPINION. And wow, you still managed to throw Nancy in this arguement. So just forget what I said. Oh thats right, you cant because you have to disagree with everything I say and say how stupid you think Nancy is. I may disagree with half of the people on this board, but I dont take shots at them because I respect other people's opinions.

But it was implied. So ya, I'll just drop it but still it sounded implied so that's why I brought it up. But I still think that Kim was brave enough to go back into her Tootie role when she refused at first. But I apologize. Hey, at least I don't correct you all the time.
