Actor Richard Harris Dies - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Sad news film fans...

Actor Richard Harris died today due to complications from Hodgkins Disease.
He has had a long and distinguished career. His most recent films include "Gladiator" and the two "Harry Potter" flicks.

Harris was also a tremendous drinker and carouser. His exploits with fellow thesps Peter O'Toole and Richard Burton have reached legendary status, and Harris frequently regaled talk show audiences with some of the more "tamer" tales.

He was one of my favorites, and he will be missed.
I'm going out tonight to raise a pint in his honor...

I hadn't heard that! He had a classic 1968 hit record "MacArthur Park". I also liked his movie "A Man Named Horse".

How tragic. I read on one of the tabloid sites that he was having health problems. RIP Richard
