Default Least Favourite Episode?

While not the most happy subject, this board is so freakin' dead I thought we better at least start talking about something anyway. So what is everyone's least favourite ep? (I just woke up and can't think that hard so I'll post mine when I think of it.....if I have one )

First of all, thanks Becki for trying to resurrect (sp?) this board. I've been trying to think of a thread to start myself.

Secondly to answer your question, my least fave would have to be "Howard's Girl" from Season 1. That's the one w/ Paul Arnell who dates Mary, but his parents think she's still engaged to Paul's brother Howard. It's not so much that I think this episode sucks or anything like that, it's just that I felt it wasn't up to the standards that most of the episodes of TMTMS are. I was just kind of left thinking, "OK, what was the point of that?"
Just my opinion.

I didn't like the one (or possibly two) with guest star Jerry Van Dyke. They just didn't have the same fireworks as she had with Dick.

I agree Chuck. While I love Jerry Van Dyke and (obviously) Mary, I didn't think they had good chemistry together IMO. Also the one where Mary goes to jail isn't among my favourites either.

I haven't seen all of the episodes yet but my least favorite so far is episode #5- "Keep Your Guard Up".

I'm not particular to the ep that has the scene where Mary is in her bathtub and Mr. Grant walks in while Mary's bathing. Don't remember which ep title this one was.

I'll start with a disclaimer/qualifying statement:

True fans, like us, have the ability to scrutinize our object of worship with a critical eye and without diminishing our love for them. This is, of course, just my opinion, however I think rose-colored glasses do more of an injustice than seeing with clarity. It only affirms my faith in what I choose to value. (Kinda hig-falootin' (sp.?) talk for a discussion about a TV show, but I felt like waxing philosophical for the moment.)

Now, uh...what was the question? Oh, yeah!

"Keep Your Guard Up":
I agree that it was rather lackluster. I wouldn't mind missing it.

"My Son the Genius":
Just a little too much of the serious side of Ted for me. I felt it was kind of dull. (Also, it had that so-and-so Robby Rist! UGH!! ) Tied with: "The Ted and Georgette Show")

Comment about Jerry Van Dyke:
I didn't mind the 2 episodes he was in, I just wish HE wasn't in them. The storyline was fine, as was the dialogue, I just don't care for him at all!
