Default Spring Cleaning

Hi.

Moderators Thank you for making General Sitcoms Message Boards a fun and resourceful place to come too.

It looks like you are making some changes to the boards. With the sub forums That’s really a good idea. It makes it easier to go to the Board to go too. To Discuss the discussion you want to discuss without the Bump. What will go under the sticky Subjects will the blog go there and the Sub forums?

I hope this is okay just wanted to throw a suggestion in there. How about a sub forum for Obituaries? I believe all subjects would be covered.

Lastly if you’re able and I know things are pricey all ready. What about a decor look in your tv box logo instead of static have a sitcom always playing or a picture of a bunch of General Sitcom characters.

The New look can show Sitcom Characters

January-Blue boarder having to do with Snow After New Year’s Weekend til February 2nd.

February-Pink boarder having to do with Valentines.February 3rd thru February 28th or 29th.

March-Green boarder having to do with St.Patrick’s Day & Spring March 1st thru March 31st.

April-Yellow boarder having to do with Sports April 1st-April 30th

May-Purple boarder having to do with Mothers May 1st-Thursday before Memorial Day

June thru August boarder aqua with Summer Vacations Friday before Memorial Day thru Labor Day Sunday

September boarder brown with Back To School Labor Day-September 30th

October- boarder black with Halloween October 1st-October 31st

November-boarder orange Thanksgiving November 1st thur Sunday after Thanksgiving

December-Boarder Red & Green showing Sitcom Characters celebrating Christmas & Hanukkah & Kwanzza & New Years Monday after Thanksgiving Weekend thru after New Years Weekend

No worries if you can’t do any of this it’s just a suggestion. Thanks again for all your hard work and making here a great place to be.

Thank you for the kind words and for the suggestions.

The main goal with the sub-forums is to organize the older schedule/news related threads. They can be difficult to find with so many threads in one section. There's still a few more for channels which I plan on adding.

My plan is to keep the current schedule/news related threads in the main General TV section. I have sticked some threads with redirects in the sub-forums. Once a thread goes to the second or third page, I will move it to one of the sub-forums. If there's a good thread bumped up in one of the sub-forums, then I can always move it back to the General TV section. I want threads to be where people are most likely to view and reply to them.

The obituaries are fine for the General TV section. Sometimes I will move and/or merge the older threads to other sections.

The alternate monthly logos is a good idea. Unfortunately, our graphics guru who made our logo and board graphics is semi-retired. I don't know if it would be possible to have them created.

TJ.

Thank you for getting back with me.

I think the organization is a fantastic idea. I know this will help everyone out in the long run.

Secondly, looking forward to the new ways on interacting on the boards.

That’s a great idea on merging. That way everything is in one place.

No problem on the previous suggestion. I appreciate you taking it under consideration.

Thanks again for responding. Thanks again for making this place a great place to go for General Sitcoms!
