Cool GG on DVD (next year)?

Look what a friend sent me:

DVD has opened up marketing avenues for all kinds of programming, said Lori MacPherson, VP of brand marketing for BVHE. This includes good television product. Many of the gems earmarked for 2003 include first season collections of Charlie's Angels (just in time for its big-screen sequel), Dawson's Creek (to coincide with the season finale this spring) SWAT and Married With Children from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, and from Buena Vista's Touchstone Television arm, the classics Home Improvement and The Golden Girls.

I have a DVD writer and was going to put some episodes from Lifetime on DVD, probably still will but that's cool that the real DVDs may be coming out!

Hi. I got it early 2002, it was a little over $400, now, it's a little cheaper. I have already put some shows to DVD, soon, I'll be putting some FOL episodes to DVD.

This is amazing news! It's quite spooky aswell as not one week ago I designed a cover for a Golden Girls DVD and put it up @ http://www.the-goldengirls.com/DVD/dvd.html as I get a lot of e-mails asking if the GG's are out on video so I thought this page could answer that question. At the bottom of the page I have put "If The Golden Girls are ever released on DVD then let's hope the cover looks a little like the cover I have designed!"...like I said, spooky

And whatever season they put will be great. They should really put the 2nd season on DVD, that had the most classic episodes and has more mainstream appeal.

They would probably start with the first season, and (hopefully) release the six remaining seasons depending on how sales of the first go.

Although, it wasn't mentioned if The Golden Girls would be put on DVD, it is good they were mentioned at all. This means their at least considering The Golden Girls for DVD.

Yeah, he's right. Nothing definate, like the other series mention, was said about the show coming out, but because it WAS mentioned, that means they are considering it. So if we can write Buena Vista, we need to and let them know there is huge interest in GG on DVD.

Write Buena Vista and keep your fingers crossed, LOL.

Oh, for the person who got the DVD writer, WHERE did you get it for that much, LOL, I haven't found any as cheap as that, I mean, I have a DVD player already... but still... lol

Yes I agree, GG was only mentioned. But the fact that it WAS mentioned with only one other show tells me that there is a VERY good chance GG will see a DVD release in some form in the near future. I sure hope so.
