Join series star Tim Allen and additional cast members (to be announced) as they review and relive some of this long-running ABC series’ greatest moments. You’ll see live action sketches and comedy as well as many hilarious clips and highlights. This will be a very special evening of fun saluting one of TV’s most popular comedies!

It's being taped in January, airdate of May 4, 2003.

AHh!! OMG!!!! COol!! HI is a show I used to watch as a kid, but now I watch it and like it WAY more than I did before LOl. Ugh, I hope if Taran is on, he cleans himself up or cuts his hair or something....ICk.

Production has been canceled, no tape date Nov 4th now. Taping will be now in January, with an airdate in February sweeps on ABC

Well, regardless of when it is, I'm excited to see it! "Home Improvement is one of my all-time favorite shows. It was my favorite show when I was younger, mainly because I had a huge crush on Jonathan Taylor Thomas when I was like 13!

Tim Allen will be appearing live on stage in a "Home Improvement" special event to be broadcast on ABC mid February (tentatively on Thurs Feb 20). The show is currently titled "The User's Guide to Watching Home Improvement" and includes possible appearances by Richard Karn (Al), and Debbe Dunning (Heidi) - yes, the ol' Tool Time crew reunites! Tim will present his own favorite clips from the show, insider's tips, personal reflections and a Question and Answer session with the live audience!

The taping of the show will be on Friday January 24th at 8pm at the Wadsworth Theatre in L.A. Order tickets at tvitckets.com

“Home Improvement,” one of the most popular and beloved family comedies of the ‘90s and one of ABC’s most successful comedy shows, returns in a one-hour special that reunites Tim Allen as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, Richard Karn as “Tool Time” sidekick Al Borland and Debbe Dunning as Heidi, the “Tool Time” girl, in “Tim Allen Presents a User’s Guide to Home Improvement,” scheduled to air in the 2003 season on the ABC Television Network.

For eight years “Home Improvement” chronicled the trials and tribulations of the Taylor family and its patriarch, Tim Taylor, the accident-prone host of the cable television show “Tool Time.” Tim’s cohorts on “Tool Time” included Al Borland (Karn), who calmly withstood Tim’s wisecracks, and Heidi (Dunning), the “Tool Time” girl, who always opened up “Tool Time” with, “Does everybody know what ‘time’ it is?”

In “Tim Allen Presents a User’s Guide to Home Improvement,” Tim Allen will present his own favorite clips from the show, insider’s tips, show bloopers, personal reflections and a question-and-answer session with a live audience.

“Home Improvement,” which ranked as a Top-10 television program from its debut in 1991 until its final episode in 1999, garnered nine People’s Choice Awards (including one for Favorite New Comedy Series and three for Favorite Comedy Series) and 26 Emmy Award nominations.

Tim Allen, as well as Matt Williams, David McFadzean and Carmen Finestra from the Wind Dancer Production Group, serve as executive producers for “Tim Allen Presents a User’s Guide to Home Improvement.” Andy Cadiff is director.

It's now airing sometime in May, though it has already been taped since January 24.

I think they want to air it in May because they are airing the ABC 50th Anniversary special then as well.
