The series will be the third in the Avatar-verse, following the original show and The Legend of Korra. The announcement was timed for the 20th anniversary of the Feb. 21, 2005 premiere of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Nickelodeon will also mark the anniversary with new YouTube content, in-person experiences and books.
