Yes, I'm sure this episode will be good but it just won't be the same without Chico. I
will record it but I will not be getting up any more (at that time) to watch it. I miss
Freddie already!!!!!

Gee I hope you're right! I've got a copy of
the episode schedule I copied from the CATM
home page and it says "Louie is forced to retire, so he opens his own garbage business and hires Ed as a driver." Guest star George Gobel. Then it says NOTE: first episode without Chico. Well, I guess I WILL get up and see what I see - THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THAT TO OUR ATTENTION EdBrownJr!!!!
That's one of the values of this great message board - keeping each other informed.

Got it on right now & no Chico. Della is wearing a poncho & she tells Ed that Chico sent it from Ensananida (SP?). My satellite dish is doing horrible! The picture on the v from it is bobbing up & down the way it use to do on the old 1950's & 60's tv with the horizontal tuning thingys on them. YUCK! My video is gonna be terrible. Sigh... It just cleared up now it's back to bobbing again. YUCK!!!!

Maude is coming in okay. A little fuzzy but better than what was before. 1/2 hour too late GROWL! Oh well after Della saying Chico sent her the poncho, I did see Louie say HI to Ed for a sec & 2 garbage men & Ed say something about them being the Sunshine Boys. Good grief it's doing the bobbing up & down mess again. Strange thing is that the G6 satellite doesn't do this mess. Sigh...

Sad

Well I woke up this EARLY morn. to watch the show too. I missed 10 mins. of it. Did they give a tribute or any dedication to Freddie in the beginning of the episode? If they didn't it's a darn shame. Not even in the end. I had such a lump in my throat and I wanted to cry. The mere thought of them not mentioning Chico blew me away. In the 70's I refused to see these episodes. Now I know why! sniff..........

There was no mention of Freddie at all. The only time Chico was mentioned was during the episode when Della was showing Ed this thing she was wearing that Chico sent to her from Ensananida, Mexico. No mention in the end his name was even out of the beginning credits.

I don't see how they could have gone on with the show without him...

And it was really tacky to say that Chico sent Della that tent she was wearing from Ensenada. His body wasn't even cold yet in the crypt when they taped that episode.

If they were going to go on with the show, they should have done a tribute to him first and then changed the title of the show to "The Man."
