Post Chico and the Man

Will you guys continue to record Chico and The Man now or will you stop? I've been recording the show daily however, I've heard people say that the last episodes without Freddie Prinze aren't that good. Should I continue recording the series? I do like Della Reese.

I am going to record the first episode AFTER
Chico is gone just to prove to myself that he really isn't there! I want to also record the episode when Raul runs away to Mexico and Ed goes after him and ends up telling him "Chico is dead". That was a really sad show - I saw it on the fandemonium. As for the rest of the episodes, I KNOW I WON'T be waking up at 4 a.m. to watch them, but I may set my VCR to record a few here and there. If we
get our petition answered and CATM moves to prime time, that would be better. How about the rest of you fans? I still think CATM is good with Jack Alberston, Scatman Crothers and Della Reese, but just not the same without Freddie Prinze! I was NEVER a big fan of the "hootchie cootchie Charo!"

Catcopy18 - I'm going to record the 1st episode without Chico & the Ed telling Raul episode too. That's it...... When the fandemonium came on, I watched a couple of Raul episodes. When I saw the credits & the name Freddie Prinze didn't appear I stopped watching the show. I almost started to cry. I saw half of the Ed telling Raul episode but, I didn't see the whole thing because I fell asleep.

I'll be taping them with the VCR set up to tape them & save them on another tape. But it won't be the same without Chico. ;( No more getting up at 5 AM until Freddie comes back on there. Maybe by the time he comes back on there it will be on a normal timeslot. I wonder if they moved it to 5 am cuz they knew he wouldn't be in the upcoming episodes...

I just hope they rerun again from the beginning after they get through season 4.

I, too, will tape Tuesday's episode to see if they do show the first one without Freddie and watch the TVland episode guide to see when the Raul Part II comes on...that's the one where Ed tells Raul about Chico.

I missed several episodes during pandemonium 'cause I didn't know it was on till the middle. I really would like to be able to tape the pilot episode. Does anybody have that one on tape?

Having the first and the last with Freddie would be nice.

I have all the Chico episodes on tape and probably won't tape any more except the 2- parter where Raul runs away. I missed that one during the fandamonium weekend. I really have a hard time watching the last season. I will be the first to admit that even though I liked all of the characters in the show and the show was great because of the relationship between Ed and Chico, I watched the show because I had the hots for Freddie. I did back then and very little has changed now.

I think I'm going to quit taping after Freddie's gone. I like Jack and Scatman but I really watch the show for Freddie. I'll save my VHS tapes for when they go back to the beginning of the series.
