Does anyone know if this is at all likely to come to anything?
I know that's an enormous, speculative question, but I wonder if anyone has a sense of what the odds are. I don't even own a DVD player, but I would certainly buy one for 'MHMH.' Also, I've noticed that bidders REALLY fight over the "Best Of" VHS tapes that show up on eBay! I've never experienced that degree of competition while bidding on eBay. Anyhow, I hope whomever owns the show remembers that it was a huge hit back in the 70s when you could actually see the episodes, and I hope they realize it garners a lot of new fans whenever it pops up on some cable network. I never saw the program before TV Land showed it, actually, and I'm completely hooked now. |

I bet it will eventually. Unfortunately I doubt it wll be anytime soon. I wish they'd release it soon, though. I know it probably won't be a blockbuster hit like some of the other shows but its loyal fans will certainly buy it (I know I would). I think right now they're just releasing stuff that they know for a fact will make money.

To get MHMH released on DVD or VHS there has to be some show of interest. When you vote for MHMH over at "www.tvshowsondvd.com" and MHMH (now in 188th place with 90 votes) gets about 200 more votes; Columbia Tri Star will most likeky release it through Columbia House Video.
Just like a political campaign someone needs to take polls, canvas the voters and do some leg work. In this case we must request the MHMH tapes or dvds from people who sell them. I.e, I buy TV shows and movies for my collection from many vendors, at least 3 times a month, but I always also request MHMH. The sellers check for availability, and when they say that they cant find MHMH, I ask them to put the show on their request list. This way the battle can be fought from both ends. We must be creative in this campaign. Also check out the MHMH fan site over at Yahoo Groups. |
