Thumbs up The Sweathogs vs. The Eastland Girls

Which group of students do you like the best: the Eastland Girls from The Facts of Life or the Sweathogs from Welcome Back Kotter?

Great question, but personally I don't prefer one over the other. What I admire about each group of characters is how they expressed their friendship by their sense of humor; their chemistry was priceless.

Sweathogs, no doubt about it. Epstein's my favorite.

If I had to choose a group it would be the Sweathogs, but only because I was a teenager when the show originaly aired back in the 70s, and I identified with those guys like crazy(possibly because I myself wasn't that good a student, a "misfit" if you will...)

The Sweathogs rule.No offence to FOL fans, but unlike The Eastland Girls where Jo was so different from the rest it was depressing,The Sweathogs didn't have anyone like that in their group. Each of them were different and unique, and stuck together throughout the series' entire run(the Jo character didn't even exist until FOL's second season).

I don't see how the two groups could be compared in the first place, they were both different groups of people. The Eastland girls were nothing like the sweathogs and none of the girls were in a remedial class. I'd put them in their own group and say Horshack was my favorite Sweathog.

I couldn't agree with you more. There is no comparison whatsoever if you ask me.
Horshack is my favourite sweathog too.

I think the Eastland girls are the female version of the Sweathogs and the Monkees coz there are 4 of each.

Jo-Barbarino, Michael Nesmith

Blair-Horshack, Peter Tork

Tootie-Washington, Davy Jones

Natalie-Epstein, Micky Dolenz
