A little fantasy... - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I tried this with another show and thought it might be good for Chico. Real-life circumstances aside, if you could write a script for what happened to the characters after the show went off the air, what would you say happened? I think Chico would have come back to Ed's, but that's just my opinion.

Hey Dawsonsgirl...kool idea. If I were to write a script on this subject I would have Chico come back to the garage and have Ed make him a full partner. They would hang a big sign out front that would read, "Brown & Rodriguez...habla es spanol."
I would have Chico marry Nancy and find out that he's going to be a father. I would eventually have Chico spin-off into his own show called "Chico and Son" as his son would grow up amidst the eighties. Nancy would leave Chico in a very sad and emotional episode and leave him to raise his son all by himself. The show would deal with issues faced by a single father such as making time for work, school funtions and eventually dating again. He would deal with how to handle a child how gets sick, taking him to the dentist and cooking and cleaning. I could see Chico being the domestic God that he is. Ed would visit the show on occasion to give Chico advise on child rearing with Chico getting on the defensive as Ed has no children of his own. Chico and Ed would become close with Ed considering Chico's son as a grandchild...The possibilities are endless.
How's that?

Great ideas! One thing I'd have tho would be that Chico never died & Freddie never died...

dawsongirl - I would have Chico enter the garage and find a for sale sign. Della would still be next door. Chico would ask where's Ed? Della would tell him he has passed away. Then Chico would buy the garage. There would be alot of Chico and the man episodes (dreamlike) popping in and out of Chico's head. There would be tears in his eyes (sniff). In a future episode I see a little boy come into the garage and need a job. Hence Chico and (?) Endless possibilites here too. Mando would be Freddie's sidekick & Freddie would be a single gent. There would be alot of dating opportunities (ala 3's company)...... WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's obvious that I'm not the only one on this board who has ideas for writing stories based on Chico/Freddie--all of you should go for it! Believe me, it doesn't take alot of talent or guts--I have very little of either! I love the idea of Chico and Nancy together, although I preferred his relationship with Lisa. And Chico as a daddy,to Morgan and to his own child--WOW! I like the idea that he comes back and buys the garage after Ed dies, etc. Someone should grab these ideas and run with them, and get Starshine to post them on her site. Not me, though, I'm too busy with Angel yet!
