Rhys Ifans to Star in Apple TV+’s "For All Mankind" Spin-off "Star City"

Rhys Ifans (House of the Dragon) is set to lead the cast of Apple TV+‘s upcoming series "Star City", a spinoff from the streamer’s space drama "For All Mankind".

According to sources, Ifans is not leaving House of the Dragon, where he plays Ser Otto Hightower. It’s not clear, however, how his Star City casting will affect his future on HOTD in the long run.



Created by Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert and Ronald D. Moore, "Star City" is another alt-history retelling of the space race – when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon.

But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humanity forward.



Ifans will star as the ‘Chief Designer,’ the driving force behind the Soviet Space program.
