Angry Stop The Freakin Pop Ups!

About 10 minutes ago there was about 3 pop ups that froze my computer and I had to turn off my comp and restart it. It's so annoying when one of those animated pop ups come on my screen (ORBITZ FOR EXAMPLE!) I'm so pissed off with those things, STOP THEM!!!! Who else hates those animated ones that go up and down on the side of your screen, or ANY POP UP FOR THAT MATTER?!?!

Pop ups are a pain in the ass, but they probably pay for this website. I suppose we have to have them in order to have the site up. The pop ups freeze my computer up sometimes, but to be honest with you I only have one ad come up when I come to the boards.

Download a pop up killer. It works a majority of the time for me, but my computer still freezes up when coming to the board. I decided to download a popup ad killer when I went to one site (not here) and 8 popups kept popping up (the same ones came up over and over again).

Very rarely do I get pop-ups coming here..maybe just like once. I get them at other sites though. I hate the ones that take up the WHOLE screen so you cant close it right away...THAT pisses me off. I mean seriously..how many of you can HONESTLY say that you are interested in the ads and click on them all the time?

I hate the ones on Geocities though . . . everytime one of them comes up, first it says there's an error, then I click OK, then it minimizes Compuserve and then it freezes it. I have to open up Geocities sites in Internet Explorer cause of this *le sigh*

Geocities and Tripod's ads are a pain. But they don't usually freeze my computer.. it just slows it down.

As for the ads on Sitcomsonline, I hardly ever get them anymore for some reason...

I hate the whole pop up ads too. I usually have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to get them to go away. That in turn makes every other window I had open close. I sure would like to torch the person that thought of popups.
