Default The influence music has on you

I would say music influences every aspect of my life in its entirity. We had a survey passed out in school (for a class project comparison thing) and I ended up having music be my #1 influence, going up against God, My Parents, and my Siblings. Music is like my passion. Does music have a very big influence on you, or not?

Music is probably the most important thing in my life. Music has gotten me thru many hard times. It something that, if someone took it way from me, I dont think I'd survive. Its just such a large part of my life that I dont think I could live without it. Its a hard thing for people to understand, but it makes so much sense to me.

i understand it. I, personally, can only have complete silence when I have a headache. Im weird. i'm one of those people who can listen to a song on the radio then play it on the pianio. U know, wih like one hand but once time I just walked up and played a song straight out. And id neevr done it before. For comparison, Ive taken piano for one year, 5 years ago, and can only play one song i learned in class. So music is like a part of me.

i was never good w/ musical instruments...but music has always been something very close to me. Music was always played around the house and my dad was always singing. I love to sing. Singing has always been very special to me...its something that i just hafta do. i used beg my family to leave the house just so i cud sing full force w/out anyone hearing me. It meant so much to me and it relieved a lot of stress. Music is like an addiction for me, I'm so dependant on it...

Music is my life and my passion. It helps me in many different ways. I sometimes use it as a stress reliever, to meditate, and there has been times that it gives me a boost when I'm feeling depressed. Music, IMO, is a universal language. One doesn't have to "speak" the language to appreciate or understand it. And that is the best gift of all.

I have zero talent when it comes to playing a musical instrument or singing for that matter. I always kind of admired that people that knew how to play a guitar or the drums, or had the guts to get up in front of millions of people and sing.

Anyway, I have my collection of cds and they really got me through some low periods of my life. Life just didn't hold joy for me during the low points. When I'm talking low points, I mean low points. I don't consider getting into a fight with a boyfriend a low point. It might be a low, but I seriously hit rock bottom a few times. It kind of made me feel better to shut myself away from everybody and just play music. Music has always been by my side. People think I have talent when it comes to writing, but writing didn't stay by my side all of the time. When I was depressed, I wrote depressing **** that wasn't good. Yeah, music has played a major part of my life and I know it will always play a major part of my life.

As an experienced musician, I strongly encourage you to continue playing the piano and to study music. If that is what you desire, do it for yourself. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Music is the most beautiful gift that man possesses. If you have musical talent, the best thing to do is to develop it. There are many fields in the music industry that one can work in.

In my personal situation, currently I'm working towards a BA degree in Music Education. The way I see it is that I've waited this long to do it that it doesn't matter how old you are to make a future for oneself and follow your dream.

I hope you do what's best for you.

Music has a great influence on me (as I am currently listening to "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath again). Too many people at church say that heavy metal is of the devil and crap like that, and it will make you do anti-social things...Like the Crusades, the Inquisition and Salem Witch Trials were Sunday picnics...
But I think most of us who listen to heavy metal here know it RELAXES us and gives us a pick-me-up... It makes you feel good and gets out tension. We NEEEEEEED metal!!!!!!

Music is me. Music... there is no word to describe it. Playing an instrument wise, it is me. That is what I do, what I am good at. It's one of the only things I AM good at, therefore I value it. I'll always hold it close to me.

Song wise.... if you notice, each month or so I have lyrics to a song in my signature. A lot of those songs are what express me.... how I feel, what I need, etc. etc. I use music everyday- just to listen to, to express myself, everything. Music has gotten me through a shítload of stuff this time in my life. I couldn't live without music. At all.

Why do you hate people? Have some of them done you wrong, dissed you, even hurt you? There has to be some kind of explanation as to why you are anti-social and hate people. I mean, I am not saying you're wrong about how you feel the way you do, but why?

yes. in general i grew up a compete social outcast, for no reason other than I was overweight. I was always nice to people but they always made fun of me anyway. I had one friend (everyone hates her too) and we sat alone at a table at lunch. If we sat at the wrong one we got screamed at. And then I figured maybe being skinnier would help so I ended up with an eating disorder for several months, got down to a size 5 (from a size 14) and people still called me fat, and still wouldn't let me be a part of the group. So after all i went through to fit in, they still didn;t accept me, and i just find it hard now to trust people. When i was younger (in the 6th grade) all these popular girls stated being my friend and "using" me then they'd stop being my friend and tell everyone **** about me. So i find it really hard to trust people.

Yes, Music has always been a big part of my life. It reminds of good times and gets me through the bad times. It helps me escape from whatever daily pressures I have. We had music on at our house all the time too.
