CHICO & THE MAN and TV-LAND - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Chico and The Man will probably be on TV-Land for at least another 4 years because I believe that when TV-Land purchases programs they buy rights for at least 4 years. What do you guys think?

That would be great if that's true. As long as they are not like Nick @ Nite. Shows come and go off that network so quick. The Monkees disappeared after 6 weeks, WKRP was gone in a short time too.

It's a shame how they take those shows off too soon. Wish I could get the paid channels on my satellite so I could watch N@N. They play some good shows. I hope they keep CHICO along time but being a regular avid TVLAND viewer, I noticed they change their shows around every so often.

I hope they keep CHICO...

I hope they keep Chico too.......... The Monkees didn't stay too long huh? Bring back the Monkees!!!!!

I hope they run through the episodes at least once more. I didn't tape any of the early episodes.

But that's why I'm taping them. TVLand seems to be oriented towards fans of classic television in general, not fans of specific shows, that's why they change their line-up so frequently.

I wish they'd put the Monkees back on. Ther is a petition somewhere on the net to bring the Monkees back on NICK@NITE. I rememebr I signed it. They used to be on the SCREEN GEMS NETWORK but they took them off of there & then our local channles playing SCREEN GEMS NETWORK took that off. Now they are back on SCREEN GEMS NETWORK again & I can't get it. Glad CHICO wasn't put on there or I wouldn't have gotten to see it.

I hope they keep CHICO on longer.

I think Chico will be on TVLand for sometime they have a better track record for keeping shows longer than N@N.

Yeah, I'm glad that Chico wasn't put on screen gems too. I get screen gems here at 6:30am (what's with these crappy time slots!) Anyway, the Monkees was on for one day in place of I Dream Of Jeannie on Friday, but that was it. Any show that ends up there is only hit-or-miss. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
