I was only 4 and about to turn 5. They have the marathon on Antenna TV this weekend. I got to watch the first episode last night. The "N" word was used twice.
Second spin off from All In The Family. It was very successful its first season but really dropped and by season 4 CBS considered cancelling it. It came roaring back to the top 10 by 1979 and 1980. Everyone on the show was so talented.
The only one still alive is the maid. She worked as a flight attendant the first 2 seasons on the show. Hard to imagine anyone being on a successful sitcom doing that today.
