1988 Wendy's Superbar commercial - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Wendy's had always tried to experiment with new ideas to satisfy customers and keep their juices flowing. In 1988 Wendy's introduced one of it's most experimental innoventions ever which became known as Wendy's Superbar and to honor it's debut Wendy's launched a great commercial with a jazzy-sounding rap jingle. The Wendy's Superbar offered things like tacos nachos pizza pasta salads and desserts and sometimes Wendy's offered deals for the Superbar in commercials of their own too. Though the Wendy's Superbar was a success for Wendy's in general Wendy's decided to no longer have the Superbar in the restaurants in the 1990's instead to focus on developing new foods and new burgers and sandwiches for their menu. I myself "as all of you know" am a big fan of Wendy's and I never ate at the Superbar when Wendy's had them but Wendy's today should develop something like the Superbar and i'm sure it would work well today in my opinion

I got spaghetti from it and Garlic bread and Pudding....

Very sad......
