Geesh...Freddie was like hardly in this one....They put in so much filler with other characters...Very dissapointing....I guess this was the begining of the end huh? He look ok thin and not very animated. There were very few close-ups if any. It was sad to watch for me....

Yes this episode was strange he was hardly in it and looked different super thin and just overall different from how we are used to seeing Chico.

Yeah, it was. He did good in what parts he was in. & He was looking good! But not enough Chico. ;( I missed him too much in the beginning on this one. I noticed how formally dressed up he was in this one. I noticed my hubby has a suit & tie similar to what he was wearing this AM except my hubbys tie is brown & gold colors.

I was noticing how conservative he dressed in the shows. Nothing too wayout looking. The funkiest he dressed was those cute bellbottom jeans he wears. I noticed that he wore alot of suits with an open collar shirt too. I was a teenager in high school back then, & I remember young people (at least the ones in my area anyway) weren't too much on dressing up like that LOL. I remember kids when I was in high school wouldn't have worn a suit for a date LOL! So I thought that was something interesting. & He was a very fancy dresser too.

On a lighter note did anyone else laugh at the wigs Louie was wearing how bout that Orange one he had on towards the end. Heh heh LOL

Back then - in New York City people dressed in those suits and open shirts. I think Freddie took his New York style of dressing to California. "LOOKING OH SO GOOD"

Louie was a reall hott on there. He reminded of Fred Sanford with that wig on. There was an epsdoe of Sanford & Son where Fred has on a wig like that. Louie & Ed & Chico too were soo funny.

I didn't realize folks in NYC dressed like that back then. & Here I was thinking it was an LA style. I've been to NYC a coupla times back in the 60's & 70's. I noticed what a sharp dresser he was. I noticed in todays episode when his dad had come over, He acted like he thought in his bellbottom jeans, that he wasn't dressed fancy enough. Looking goood!

It just dawned on me that he dressed pretty fancy for fixing the cars. When my hubby used to run his used auto parts junkyard before he became disabled/legally blind due to diabetes, he never dressed that fancy (bellbottom jeans etc.). He wore old work pants & an old work shirt or jean shirt.

Cheryl - If you remember the movie with Saturday night fever - John Travolta would wear those same kind of outfits and the movie was based in New York City. New Yorkers dressed that way back then. You know that outfit that Freddie wears on Chico, the pants with the matching jacket with silver sparkles in the back? The color was blue. People used to have those sparkly clothes back then too. They would wear them in the daytime. Freddie bought that style of dressing to Chico and the man.

I really enjoyed this mornings episode where Chico met his father. Yes, it was a real tear jerker. One of things I noticed was where Ed came in and offered Chico's dad
a "toast". Dad asked if Chico could join in and Ed said "no, Chico doesn' drink". In episodes before Chico always had something to drink either soft drink or otherwise.
One other thing I noticed BIG TIME was that they let the entire ending song play with no talking or split screens. Anyone else notice that? We'll see if it continues.

Does anyone remember an episode of CATM that NBC did shortly after Freddie's death that was like "flashbacks" of special moments from the show-it had some kind of sad music playing softly in the background and ended with a tribute to Freddie. Or, maybe it was a small part of one of the later (Raul) episodes. I remember watching this, holding my cassette tape recorder up to the TV to record the sound. (Technically, we've come a looong way, haven't we?) That was eons ago-I used to listen to the tape (I lost it, eventually). I remember being so sad, I wouldn't watch the later episodes.

I don't remember that Freddie Tribute. I hope they show it in the CATM RAUL episodes as I'd love to see it. I remember I used to have to tape TV shows with a cassette recorder like that to get thet show on tape. I have some Monkees episodes that way...

Hey,I did the same thing. When I was in high school, we use to watch the re-runs of Hogan's Heroes all the time at 11:30 at night and discuss them the next day. Richard Dawson was a personal favorite of mine, too. I love that English accent. Anyhow, when the local TV station was taking it off, I taped the last episode it broadcast. We played that audio tape till I think we wore it out. I may still have it buried with my stuff from HS. We have come a long way. Now I am enjoying taping and collecting the complete set of CATM on VHS.

Freddie was always a sharp dresser..In "THE BOOK" he left his coat and books in a cab~~his fav way to travel back then~~ he went in somewhere~~i forget~~ to get money for the cab and the guy drove away with his stuff...When he told his mother what happened she told him she would buy him a new coat and he told no.. But she insisted and he wanted this reall expensive fur coat~~like $150~~ and she got it for him....So he always had expensive tastes from day one....Nothing wrong with that, mind you....But back then $150 for a coat was outragous....
