Title: Fonzie the Date

Chapter: Prolouge

Sumery: A collage girl dosen't think Fonzie is all he's cracked up to be. Her roommates then arrange her to go on one date with him and dare her to say the same thing when she comes home.

Disclamer: I don't own Happy Days, and I never will. I don't own Fonzie or his friends...and that's a really good thing, because if Fonzie found out anyone owned him...*gulp* Nope. Happy Days is just the poor target of my over-active immagionation. However, Courtney Haws and her roommates *are* my creation, and therefore belong to me! <evil laugh)

Author's note: As you noticed, this is the prolouge in the first of a searies. The searies will have (as I also stated above) and unknown ammount stories, each with an unknown number of chapters. (lots of unknowns about this searies) Of course...if you don't like my chacters or my plotline, just say so and I"ll concider stopping.

Four young women sat on the floor surrounded by rements of junk food. They were all smileing and laughing.

"You know." one of them said. "This Friday Night Slumber party is a really good idea."

Another girl rolled her green eyes. "As fun as it always is...I still say it's a wase of time and money."

"C'mon Karla." said yet another of the girls. "You havn't been any fun since you and Jeremy broke up."

"I've been fun!" the red-head protested loudly. "I'm just sensable. And Jeremey has nothing to do with it."

"Oh please!" the other girl roared with laughter. "You know as well as I do that sensable isn't the word to discribe you." Her long blond hair spilled over the carpit as she ducked her head in an attempt to control her laughter.

"You're right Heather." Karla agreed. "Maybe sensable isn't the right word. Logical is more like it."

"Logical is more like it." Heather mimicked mockingly.

Karla's eyes sparkled with mischeif. Reacing slowly behind her, she grabed hold of something. Tossing it foward, Heather found herself suddenly covered in popcorn kernals.

Gaping, Heather glared at her friend and reached for the bag of patatio chips. "Alright Karla Peters." she said "If you want a food fight then that's what you're gonna get."

"Bring it on." Karla chalanged. And Heather proceeded to dump the chip crums on Karla's head.

Karla was about to respond with another food-tossing action when one of the others intrupted. "Hey, hey, hey."

All eyes turned to the dark-haired girl sitting between the shouting pair. "I've got cleen-up duty tonight, and I really don't feel like cleening up after a foodfight. A simple food-munch is rough enough."

"Sorry Courtney." Chorsed Kyla and Heather. Courtney grinned. Life with those two was never boreing. Kyla was smart, sensable, and not eactly the best athlete Courtney had ever met. Heather on the other hand, was the impulsive, act-now-think-later type. They clashed like a cat and a dog. Heather was useally the dog.

Silence settled over the room. Courtney's third roommate, Deanne, broke it by saying "Did you hear what I heard today?" Deanne was a gossip through and through. If you wanted or needed information, you turned to Deanne, and 95% of the time you could relly on what she told you.

"What?" the others said in unison.

Deanne's voice droped to a conspirital whisper "Milissa Corwen got a date with The Fonz!"

Deanne, Karla, and Heather squealed. "Lucky Girl!" Heather exclaimed.

When the squeals and shouts died down Courtney simplly stated "What's the big deal? Nearly every girl in school has had a date with Fonzie at least once."

"Have you?" Heather shot at her without hessatation.

"No." Courntney responded honestly. "But I bet you have." Heather clammed up. "What's the matter?" Courtney shot out at her with just the right blend of scarsiam and taunting. "Don't wanna brag 'Cause it'll prove my point."

Heather grinned slyly. "Maybe." she said, her tone carrying the slightest bit of mystery.

Courtney shook her head. "The point is." she said "That I just don't think Fonzie's all he's cracked up to be." Courtney's roommates stared at her in shock. "What?" Courtney snapped. "I mean...so he rides a modercycle, wears a leather jackit, and has a million dates a week. What's so cool about that?"

"Courtney." Deanne said slowly. "If I wern't sitting down, I'd...fall...over."

Heather reached over and touched Courtney's forehead with the back of her hand. "You running a fever, Cort?" she asked, her voice too laced with shock for Courtney to tell if she spoke with real or joking concern.

"I'm fine!" Courtney snapped. Her friends sat back. "Look." she said "I just don't think that Fonzie is as cool as he tries to make everyone think he is."

"How can you say that?" Heather responded "You've never even been out with him, and you're already dismissing him as uncool."

Courtney rolled her eyes. "Look, I don't like guys just for how they look on the outside. I like them for who they are...on the inside."

"Yeah." Deanne said "But...but Fonzie's a great guy. Really. Through and through."

Courtney stared seriously at her friends. "I have never, ever, seen ANY evedence that Aurthor Fonzerilli is nothing but a big jerk dressed up to make everyone think he's their best friend."

Heather's blue eyes were dead serious as she met Courtney's gaze. "You know...I dare you. I dare you to go on one date with Fonzie, and come home with the same oppion of him." Courtney hessitated for a moment, but that moment was all Heather needed to say "What's the matter? Afraid to agree 'Cause you might prove my point?"

Courtney's eyes flashed. How dare Heather use her line! "You're on!" Courtney exclaimed.

Heather, Karla, and Deanne began chearing and whooping. "I'll see if he's free tommrow night!" Heather exclaimed loudly.

Courtney let out a long sigh. If Fonzie was free, then the next night was bound to be one of the longest nights of her life.
