Red face The writers

Todays episode was really good. Matchmaker, Matchmaker. They had closeups on our dear Freddie. Hubba Hubba! The writing was good. I enjoyed this episode. I miss Freddie! Sniff

Shoot, it seems like every episode I decide not to bother with because it's getting depressing--knowing how close it is to the end--there are good things like closeups in them! I've noticed a lot more closeups in these late episodes, tho'--if Freddie was so far gone (high all the time, etc.), why did they do that, and how come he still looks so hot in closeup?!

Todays episode was good. I liked when Chico gave Ed the sweater and said its 100% virgin wool and Ed said how do you know the maybe the sheep was lying.

I liked today's episode as well. I thought it was edgy with the language that Peggy's son used. I would have loved to see Chico tear him limb from limb.

I keep looking for signs that Freddie was "high" during filming and it's hard to tell?? Maybe one of twice I noticed his eyes were a little droopy so maybe that was from the tranqs he took, but all in all, he couldn't have been that bad. He had a lot of dialogue; he still did physical stuff; boxing, etc. Maybe he did the majority of it off the set.

I miss him too, big time

Yeah, I just never really saw anything except the weight loss, and he only looked really God-awful in the beginning of the apartment episode. He never seemed to stumble or mess up a line (of course I know they did multiple takes, but I've caught some of the other actors messing up at times), and you're so right, he was still so graceful in the way he moved like in the boxing episode. But I've heard things about how he'd be hours late because he was high--maybe he came down before coming into work.

Red face

Is it just me or does anyone else just "MEMORIZE FREDDIE" when the show is on.
I know there are other people on the episodes - I can hear their voices and see them out of the corner of my eye, but my main focus is Chico, Chico, Chico - his clothes, body, hair, and everything affected by his entire being!!!!!! It's like I need to have this mental image of him to get me through the day! After the show is over I can still visualize what he looked like!!!!

You're hooked Catcopy...just like the rest of us.
I can not only see the weight loss but I also remember seeing that his nose looked odd in some past shows. I remember hearing that he was arrested for a DUI and maybe he had a scuffle with the law???
Someone had made the statement...and forgive me, I can't recall who...that maybe his nose looked odd due to the drug use. That's possible. I know from experience that drugs like coke and crank will make your nose bleed at an alarming rate. His eyes looked like they had dark circles under them as well. It's all part of those tell-tale signs. And to address the topic of his teeth being different in the later seasons...drugs wear your teeth down to a nub and your hair will thin out. He was showing all the classic signs of someone living with a drug problem. It's a disturbing image to look at but I'm sure it was even more disturbing to live with...been there...done that...got the t-shirt.

Are you kidding?!!! I fast-forward through the parts of the show in which he does not appear (more frequent in the later ones, isn't it--sob!). I want to know every eyelash, every gesture, every breath!

It was me who said that re: his nose. I heard he burned a hole in it with cocaine.
As to his hair--thanx for giving everybody the information re: what drugs do to one's hair. I was reamed for asking if his hair didn't sometimes look like a wig! The later episodes are exactly the ones I was referring to.

I never noticed anything wrong back then in the 70's but I had no idea until he committed suicide what problems he had. Now all I see wrong with him was he was so thin. Wish I were that thin but I don't wanna be on drugs either. I assume his hair was all his. It looks too nice to be fake... Maybe someone close to him will come on here & she share. Maybe Issac-Mando knows???
