Default Why did NBC create a sequel to the TV movie Dolly Parton's Coat Of Many Colors?
During Holiday 2016 I never knew why NBC made a sequel to Dolly Parton's TV movie Coat Of Many Colors because I never knew why that movie became popular enough to have a sequel. Was NBC planning to do a trilogy of Coat Of Many Colors TV movies or did Dolly Parton want this movie series to be successful due to the sequel? I cannot figure out how they cast Alivia-Allen Lynn to play the role of young Dolly Parton but I think NBC wanted to make Dolly Parton a star and having these Coat Of Many Colors TV movies would help her career a lot. My mom saw these movies and she was disappointed in them. Why these movies got big ratings for NBC i'll never understand

I couldn't disagree more. Both Coat of Many Colors movies were fantastic. Alyvia Alyn Lind was genius casting as young Dolly Parton, excellent supporting cast as well.
