UP Schedule: 32 New Episodes of Hudson and Rex over Thanksgiving Week - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Two weeks from tonight season 17 of Heartland will premiere on UP Sundays at 7:00. Three nights before then on January 9, Hudson and Rex season 2 will premiere on UP Thursdays at 8:00 with an encore at 11:00. After all day marathons for Heartland today, Walker Texas Ranger tomorrow, movies Tuesday, and Reba Wednesday, the regular weekday schedule returns Thursday, January 2. 6-8AM Walker Texas Ranger, 8AM-12PM Heartland, 12-2PM Walker Texas Ranger, 2-6PM Reba, 6-10PM Last Man Standing, 10PM-2AM Blue Bloods, a single episode of Hudson and Rex at 2AM, and infomercials 3-6AM.

After a long absence, season 3 of Mystic will air on UP starting Sunday, January 19. Mystic will air Sundays at 8:00 following the new season of Heartland (not tomorrow night though). Weekdays has a minor change with Walker, Texas Ranger replacing Heartland at 11AM. Everything else remains the same.

UP is airing R rated gangster movies now. Married to the Mob starring Matthew Modine, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Dean Stockwell is on tonight at 8:30 following the season premiere of Mystic. And last night during Return to Me there were a few words that got past their sensor.

The barking will multiply on Thursday nights. Starting tomorrow Hudson and Rex gets all night Thursday marathons from 8PM-3AM. New episodes remain at 8:00 with the encore at 11:00. I will finally get to see the episode I missed while out of state.

I am glad I happened to check tonight's listings for UP. They are airing FIVE new to linear US TV episodes of Hudson and Rex this week, Monday-Friday all at 8:00 eastern. Thursday night will have the usual encore at 11:00, but the other nights' new episodes will only air at 8:00. As a result I will have to miss the first Suits episode tomorrow night, which is actually starting on time. You would think with a stunt like this it would have been advertised during last Thursday's new episode, maybe it has elsewhere on the schedule. My online listings and onscreen guide match for the five new episodes, so it must be correct. They are episodes 7-11 of season 3, which leaves just 5 left in that season. Next week is showing default listings for Last Man Standing including Thursday, July 3 where the new Hudson and Rex usually is.

A Nathan Fillion crime drama is coming to UP, but not his good one. The Rookie was advertised as joining the lineup on Sunday, July 6. I will watch The Rookie on UP just as much as I watched their last new pickup Walker Texas Ranger, which is never. My listings just show an extended Last Man Standing marathon and Blue Bloods for July 6 so they are not updated yet.

I don't know why they are burning through so much of their hit Hudson and Rex all of a sudden. Besides the five new episodes this week, there will be at least four more new episodes next week as well. UP's site does not have July 4 listed yet, the season 3 finale would either be then or delayed to the next week. June 30-July 3 four more new episodes will all air at 8PM eastern. If you missed this week's new episodes they will encore as part of a Hudson and Rex marathon Thursday, July 3 from 12-5PM. Then the new episodes from next Monday-Wednesday at 5:00-8:00 leading into another new one at 8:00 on July 3.

Also of note, Walker Texas Ranger might be expiring at the end of June. After tomorrow's airings it is gone from the schedule. Monday-Wednesday next week has 7 full hours of Heartland from 6AM-1PM. Then Reba starts an hour earlier 1-5PM. Last Man Standing also an hour earlier 5-8PM plus the 9PM hour after the new Hudson and Rex's. Then the usual Blue Bloods starting at 10:00. As advertised The Rookie comes July 6 probably with a launch marathon. Then we shall see what the new schedule is starting July 7.

July 4 schedule is on UP's site. No Hudson and Rex finale, which means it will still be the following week. Maybe they will use the Hudson and Rex season finale to lead into the Heartland linear season premiere. July 4 is a 12 hour marathon of Last Man Standing from 9AM-9PM followed by Librarians movies.

Sunday, July 6 is an all day launch marathon of The Rookie and Saturday, July 5 is an all day marathon of Blue Bloods.

Thursday, July 10 is the season 3 finale of Hudson and Rex at 8:00 with an encore at 11:00. They went with only two weeks break from season 1 to season 2, then right into season 3. I don't know yet if they will go straight into season 4 on July 17 as well.

Season 7 finale of Hudson and Rex is Thursday, August 28. It was only an 8 episode season, glad it wasn't longer as most of it was without Charlie. I hope UP remembers they still need to air seasons 4 and 6 on their linear channel for the first time. But Hudson and Rex will be taking a break for now with a brand new series premiering Thursday, September 4 called The Sunshine Murders. 1st season is 10 episodes airing in September and October. Nothing else known yet for the September schedule with default listings for an old schedule that had Touched by an Angel and no The Rookie. This is the description for The Sunshine Murders from The Futon Critic, not listed yet on epguides.com.

I found the week of September 1 schedule on my guide. Labor Day will have the usual 4 episodes of Heartland from 6-10AM. Then Reba takes over with a 17 hour marathon from 10AM-3AM. It will be the first 34 episodes of the series, all of season 1 and the first 12 episodes of season 2. September 2 is the same weekday schedule as before, see two posts earlier. On Thursdays The Rookie will continue to air just one episode at 7PM. The Sunshine Murders two episode premiere from 8-10 will encore from 11PM-1AM. Hudson and Rex repeats remain at 10PM, 1AM, and 2AM. Friday nights have a minor change with one of their movies borrowed from Hallmark at 7PM. The Rookie will air just two episodes from 9-11, but still be 7-11 on likely Monday-Wednesday. We will see if there are any changes September 8. I would think The Sunshine Murders would have been advertised during last night's new episode of Hudson and Rex.

A change that starts on September 8: Hudson and Rex will air weeknights at 5:00 and 6:00 leading into The Rookie's primetime block. Hudson and Rex is starting with the pilot, I hope the season 4 and season 6 episodes that have not aired on UP yet will still premiere in primetime after The Sunshine Murders has finished its first season. That is the only change, Last Man Standing remains starting at 2PM but will just air 3 hours on weekdays now instead of 5 hours.
