Have New Year's Eve shows changed their image?

Every New Year's Eve it was a tradition when Dick Clark would host New Year's Rocking Eve to welcome the new year with a fresh and awesome style filled with the best of entertainment and when New Year's Rocking Eve became a smash hit tradition every New Year's Eve other networks would follow suit and launch New Year's Eve shows of their very own. But today I think New Year's Eve shows have changed and I don't know why they did this? Take for instance New Year's Rocking Eve used to be a big affair in the 80's and 90's and they would have artists like Billy Joel Ray Charles Michael Jackson Madonna Garth Brooks and Clint Black perform and it was great fun entertainment to tide fans over until the ball dropped signaling the new year. But if you watch any New Year's Eve show today you'll notice that the performances are mostly rap artists like Nelly Eminem and Nicki Minaj and there are few country music artists appearing in these shows and they think that these rap artists perform to get ratings. Even in New Year's Rockin Eve the main artist is always a rap artist and they should have a variety of singers in these shows. Another thing about New Year's Eve shows is that they have long celebrity interviews and they don't talk about New Year's Eve and mostly talk about family life and these interviews are a waste of time. I think New Year's Eve shows should be improved with less rap artists and more entertainment after the famous ball drops. Because New Year's Eve is a wonderful and awesome holiday and the shows could use more improvement in my eyes

I also seem to think that the networks are dropping New Year's Eve shows from TV and that's replacing the image of New Year's Eve. Because when my mom and I were looking for New Year's Eve shows all we found was fireworks shows and all CNN had was news in place of the New Year's Eve shows and ABC didn't even have New Year's Rocking Eve on Hulu nor Disney+ and it surprised me that Disney+ and Hulu should've had New Year's Rocking Eve especially since it's an ABC show and Disney owns both Hulu and Disney+ and ABC. So I think they should've aired it in the first place. But I mainly think New Year's Eve themed shows are no longer airing is because of costs and money for the networks and that's why the networks are focusing more on sitcom marathons rather than New Year's Eve shows today
