Am I Love Lucy XMas Eve:

(The Ricardos and Mertzes are setting up XMas lights around their houses.)

Lucy: “I can’t wait to beat that Betty Ramsey this year in the Westport, Connecticut XMas lights contest with her holiday lights.”

Fred: “Yes and remember when we win, we split the $1,000 prize.”

Ricky: “I remember Fred. Now Lucy, after we set these up to look like Clark W. GRISMAN, you got to check them since this was your idea.”

Lucy: “It’s Clark W. Griswold.”

Ricky: “Just like we had to dig the tree out of the ground because you forgot the hacksaw.”

Lucy: “Oh all right.”

(Betty comes by.)

Betty: “Lucy, those are a lot of lights.”

Lucy: “Yes they are and we will win.”

Betty: “We will see about that. Make the best house win. The contest actually starts at 12 midnight on XMas Day.”

Ethel: “We know.”

(Later on, they get all finished. They are relaxing.)

Ricky: “Lucy, what about checking every bulb?”

Lucy: “Don’t worry.”

Ricky: “If we lose, i may do something to you that is too horrible to think about.”

Lucy: “Ewwwww.”

(Lucy and Ethel go into the kitchen.)

Lucy: “I ain’t gonna check every bulb. I know they work.”

Ethel: “Ok Lucy. But, be careful.”

(It’s at 11:59p.)

Man (yells into bullhorn): “TIME TO START THE CONTEST. IT WILL BE XMAS IN 10 SECONDS. EVERYONE HAS TO LIGHT THEIR LIGHTS AFTER THE 10 SECONDS EXPIRE. LETS HAVE A DRUMROLL.”

(Drumroll is heard.)

Lucy (singing loudly and off-key as she is about to plug the lights for the Ricardo’s and Mertzes houses): “JOY TO THE WORLD/…”

(She plugs them in.)
