MTV will also air The Big Bang Theory starting Jan 1. Also Friends will also air on MTV on Sat Jan 4. First time since 2017 it used to air as briefly.

NEW YORK Dec. 17, 2024 - Paramount announced today that The Big Bang Theory will join Nick at Nite and MTV lineups, bringing holiday cheer through the new year as the 10-time Emmy® Award-winning series returns to Paramount for the first time since its run on CBS.

Both brands will kick off their debut with marathon stunts tailored to their audiences, as follows:

Nickelodeon:
Beginning Tuesday, December 24, Nickelodeon’s nighttime programming block Nick at Nite will host a two-day stunt featuring holiday-themed episodes including the beloved “Leonard Nimoy’s Napkin.”
On December 27, The Big Bang Theory will debut with Season 4 on Nick at Nite and air daily from 12-2 a.m. (ET/PT). All 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory are joining Nick at Nite’s stellar late-night roster of popular family comedies, including its spinoff prequel Young Sheldon and Emmy® Award-winning sitcoms Friends and Modern Family.

Starting Wednesday, January 1, MTV will air “MTV’s New Year with a Bang,” an all-day marathon of Season 3.
Beginning Saturday, January 4, fans can tune in every Saturday and Sunday and watch all of their favorite episodes across all 12 Seasons alongside Friends.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Big Bang Theory back into the Paramount family, bolstering the comedy lineup for both Nick at Nite and MTV,” said Laurel Weir, EVP and Head of Programming, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and Paramount Media Networks. “Bringing engaging and culturally resonant content to fans is our priority, and the addition of The Big Bang Theory to our robust comedy slate across both networks brings our audience some of the best comedies in television history.”

The press release says for nick@nite lists Young Sheldon, even though the show will be off for next week.

According to zap2it, The Big Bang Theory is joining nick@nite lineup starting early Dec 25 airing 12am-2amish slot. It will join with Friends and Modern Family.

Mike & Molly is gone after early Dec 24. Young Sheldon are also gone after Dec 20.

The Big Bang Theory for first two days will air Christmas episodes, then after that, it will start with season 4.

Nick@Nite has 3 shows that also airs on TBS: Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family. Young Sheldon also airs on TBS as well. Mike & Molly can still be shown on TVLand and CMT.

I thought The Big Bang Theory only has exclusive rights to TBS until 2027, but I guess things have changed now, since Paramount layoffs are ongoing since past few months. Also WBD needed more money.

For Friends airing on MTV, it is not the first time. It used to air back in 2017 but for brief time.

Is nick@nite still airing the promo that says watch Friends, Mike & Molly, and Mom? Or have they stopped completely. I have yet to check those around weekdays if this is the case. I hope they should stop airing it, now they have Big Bang Theory and Modern Family along with Friends.

Also Nickatnite website STILL has NOT upgraded yet. I'm beginning to think that Paramount layoffs and the block on autopilot, I won't be surprised if nickatnite.com would redirect to nick.com, but I doubt it. Likely the same promos that were aired even after Big Bang Theory joined pretty much that it's because of layoffs and it's on autopilot. I hope the outdated promos should stop sometime around spring.

I was going to watch Friends which was listed at 9:00 and that stupid Modern Family crap was on. Modern Family is as unfunny as ever, the few minutes I saw mentioned mosquitos the size of your fist. I thought at first Nick at Nite is even bringing off the clock garbage into primetime. But then I saw they simulcast a football game earlier which naturally would have had a long overrun.

According to zap2it, and TV Insider updated: Friends will start at 8pm starting Jan 25. Some social media were complaining about Modern Family and Big Bang Theory, they are obsessed with Friends. That's their problem with some of their nick@nite viewers.

I don't know what's going on with nick@nite schedule lately, Modern Family and Friends were airing in random.
