Sav-On Drugs Christmas Commercials from 1984-87

Chances are if you're from Southern California or from Los Angeles you might be familiar with Sav-On Drugs "I don't know why they spell save without the e instead of spelling it Save-On?" From 1984-1987 Sav-On Drugs was holiday shopping king and launched some wonderful Christmas commercials. The commercials showed Santa Claus placing presents under a Christmas tree which cuts to a still of a Christmas ornament in the shape of a Sav-On Drugs store. These commercials were meant to promote Sav-On's Christmas sales and when I saw these commercials I couldn't believe that drug stores used to sell awesome stuff such as telephones watches and even Sony Walkmans and portable CD players and I wish that drug stores still sold these awesome things today. Today Sav-On Drugs no longer exists in Los Angeles or Southern California though in Lucky Stores they were a combination store in Northern California known as Lucky-Sav-On and later became Albertson's Sav-On when Lucky bought Albertson's in the 2000's and the stores today are now CVS Pharmacy stores. But watching these commercials will give you 80's nostalgia of how amazing drug stores were for Christmas shopping during the 80's
