I never knew this song existed until recently. I don't know when it was recorded. The only info I can get on it is from the release of the album, Groovin' with Scatman, which is from 2021. But seeing as Scatman Crothers has been dead since 1986, I know it wasn't recorded in 2021. There's a line in the song where he says "Ed Brown is my boss but I really miss Chico," which makes me think it was recorded during the 1977-78 season (or beyond), after Freddie Prinze died. Regardless, it's a catchy tune. I think Louie is an underrated sitcom character of the '70s. |
