I got Mariah Carey's 2010 Christmas album Merry Christmas II You and I would like to know more about it? Was this album a sequel to Mariah's original 1994 Christmas debut Merry Christmas? I understand that two singles were released from Merry Christmas II You starting with the famous Oh Santa that was the first single released and I also found a new version of All I Want For Christmas Is You and wondered why Mariah Carey would release a new version of All I Want For Christmas Is You? Did this album sell well and why did Mariah Carey release it?

I think why Mariah Carey decided to release a sequel to her 1994 Christmas debut Merry Christmas was because after the success of Merry Christmas Mariah thought it would be cool to have a sequel. Plus I think she wanted to promote her new at the time All I Want For Christmas Is You animated movie which is where her new version of All I Want For Christmas Is You is from. I was also surprised that Mariah Carey's mother performed in the album as well and she does wonderful singing opera
