1992 Furr's commercial

If you went to or visited Texas chances are you might've heard of Furr's Supermarket. In 1992 Furr's debuted a commercial which promoted a sale plus an encyclopedia promotion as well and throughout the commercial the Furr's Supermarket jingle/slogan "You've Got A Friend" "Not the James Taylor song" plays. And is such a clever commercial and I don't know how Furr's came up with this slogan in their commercials? "Trying to promote friendship maybe?" Furr's Supermarkets were featured all over Texas but were found mostly in El Paso but no longer exist in Texas along with Furr's Cafeterias which Furr's also owned as well. When it comes to learning about supermarkets it's great to find commercials about supermarkets no longer existing and I first learned about Furr's from my mom who shopped there growing up in Texas and I went to one myself and was surprised at it plus the sun logo of Furr's is indeed a clever logo itself
