I have a big problem, there's this guy that i have been friends with for 8 years. Anyways, he just told me that he would like a chance to date me, but I don't feel the same way. I think of he more like a brother than anything else. I don't want too hurt him because he is my brothers best friend ( not the one that reminds me of Steve, "the dell guy"). I don't want to hurt their friendship either, so what should i do?? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well, if I were you, I think I would tell him honestly and nicely that you don't want to date him, but as much as you can, tell him that you still want to be freinds. Yeah, it may be hard for him and you, but it might pass. Good luck.

Okay, you know the whole 'honesty is the best policy' deal? That works in this kind of situation. Honestly tell him that you value his friendship. You make a great friend and I see you as a friend and a brother. I don't think a true, true relationship would work. I just don't feel that way towards you. I love you as a friend, but I know in my heart it wouldn't work out if we started dating. Could always say something like that to him.
