I never knew that there was a real Alice behind Alice's Restaurant and I wonder how Arlo Guthrie wrote that song basing it on that Alice. Was she a fan of Arlo's? And Arlo Guthrie decided to write a song for her. That's the song that goes "You can have anything you want at Alice's Restaurant"? Was Alice a restaurant owner too in real life?
