Default History: John Fitzgerald Kennedy Died 61 Years Ago on 11/22/63

He was assinated on 11/22/65, I was walking thru a Dept Store with my 2 month old baby in my arms....the announcement came over the loudspeaker....

Yesterday was the anniversary day of his death....

The Kennedy's have had more than their share of tragedies.

Wow. JFK could have STILL been alive today if he wasn't assassinated. :O (He would have been about 103 today if he wasn't assassinated. Kane Tanaka died at 119, and the oldest living man is about 113, so JFK definitely could have STILL been alive to this day! :O

He was born on May 29, 1917, so he would actually be 107 years old

I find it sad that Caroline and John, JFK"S his children only knew about their father through their mother, media and a few close relatives. The children saw so much through the media.

Caroline is in a 38 yr marriage with Ed Schlossberg, and one of her cousins, Bobby Shriver, resides a couple blocks from me...he was a city coumcil member for some yrs here in Santa Monica.

I have walked past Shriver's house many times, and yrs back it would have a price tag of saY $2M, today LA price tag would be about $10M and it would take a Sheik to come here to buy. ''CA housing price tags are INSANE....

If you have a curosity, you can google search Bobby Shriver Santa Monica house, and you can be busy for a long while.

I was about a year and a half when JFK was assassinated. I don't remember it of course , but heard so much about it still growing up. Very sad.

I very much remember Bobby Kennedy's assassination though ! Devasting ! Also Martin Luther King around the same time. Old enough to know how horrible these murders were yet too young to know why ?

I was in 8th grade Math class. It was announced over the PA system. What a shock it was!
My poor teacher just crumbled.

That was a shock too! By the way, the press gave him the nickname John John. Jackie hated it! She never called him that.
