Netflix to Reward Squid Game: Unleashed Players for Binge-Watching "Squid Game" Season 2

The second season of “Squid Game” launches Thursday and Netflix is doing everything in its power to get viewers to start watching as soon as the episodes drop — including offering free in-game rewards for the TV series’ new companion mobile game, Squid Game: Unleashed, for each episode you binge.

Netflix says it’s implementing this strategy with Squid Game: Unleashed to test out the power of combining its massive TV fandom with its fledgling mobile games business to amplify both aspects of its subscription offering.




There are eight in-game rewards players will get as they watch new episodes of Season 2.

Per Netflix, “cash” is the term for in-game currency, while a “wild token” is a chance to spin the in-game wheel for more prizes.



Reward 1 — 15,000 cash for free.

(It should be noted that the first in-game reward is given to all players for free and no episodes of Season 2 has to be watched to unlock the prize)

Reward 2 — 20 wild tokens for one episode watched.

Reward 3 — 20,000 cash for a second episode watched.

Reward 4 — 25 wild tokens for a third episode watched.

Reward 5 — 25,000 cash for a fourth episode watched.

Reward 6 — 50 wild tokens for fifth episode watched.

Reward 7 — 50,000 cash for a sixth episode watched.

Reward 8 — A Binni Binge-Watcher outfit for a seventh episode watched.
