They seem to be out of order on Amazon if compared to imdb.
What is the correct order? |

I think the episode guide found on Wikipedia is about as good as any I've found. Scroll down a little more than halfway, Season 6 begins with the 185th episode overall:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._Sons_episodes I don't really like IMDb for several reasons: too many ads, too much back-and-forth to read ep descriptions, eyestrain from small fonts, etc. There used to be a fairly thorough M3S guide run by an overseas fan, I think it was at TV.com, but when I pointed out errors to him, he refused to make corrections. |

I do know the order of episodes on local TV was not the same as the network order, so production numbers for that season exist somewhere, maybe just not online, or maybe formerly on TV.com.
The later seasons have production numbers at the end of the closing credits (post Desilu seasons, starting with season 8), but I don't know whether cataloging them would give one the order of the episodes. Some of those are on Wikipedia, intermittently. |

It's interesting to consider some of the production codes; for example, look at these Season 8 codes:
The Homecoming - 2245-0652 - Katie & Rob return from their honeymoon (Ep 254) Wedding Bells - 2245-0668 - Katie & Rob's wedding (Ep 253) Obviously the wedding ep should be viewed before the honeymoon return, so the later / higher production number of Homecoming makes the codes of no use -- just going numerically. I think the bottom line is that while the codes served the purposes of the producers, trying to follow them in numerical order at least sometimes makes no sense for viewing. |

I've got some episodes from seasons 6 and 7 that someone taped off TV station KONG years ago. The episodes are numbered in sequence, by numbers in the series. But they do not match network order. I think when it became popular to play episodes in network order, those numbers got resorted on internet sites. |

I also have some old DVDs I recorded from local channel 40 (WHMB) years ago, for seasons 8 thru 10. I know these are in a different order than network, but they still make sense. Sometime I need to research that.
Channel 40 used to be a great source for old sitcoms, played unedited. Now they totally trashed the channel and turned it over or sold it to Univision. Sad. |
