Anyone have a hero? Come on, everyone does. It doesn't have to be a hero per se, as in "you saved my life", but just people you love dearly, trust, look up to, and can talk to about anything. Or...

It can be someone you don't know, as in a celebrity. Your role model, you look up to....

Here's the catch- A lot of people have their mothers, siblings, etc. as what I just described above, but it cannot be a family member or any blood relation. It must be a friend, best friend, teacher, friend's mother, celebrity (like I said, you don't have to know them) or whatever. If a relation is your hero, then just name the second person in line

(Incase your all wondering, this is a homework assignment in which I have to find at least 12 people who name their hero and WHY that person(s) is your hero.)

So......Who's your hero?

k my first name is Kristina...

My hero (outside of family) would have to be Avril Lavigne becasue I like her attitude and how she can be real to herself and do what she wants and not what people tell her to do, I look up to her for that. I could also relate to her music and some of the stuff that she went through, I'm going through now, it almost feels like I know her.

I hope that will help ya, I tried to be creative but I'm not lol.

My hero is Maura Tierney because...I think she has alot of talent as an actress. She's also a great person. And...she's been to Alabama...and SHE LOVES IT! Aahaha. Okay.

My first name is Jessica.

My hero is my 8th grade English teacher. She is so sweet and I can talk to her about anything. I still talk with her all the time, even though she was my teacher 3 years ago. I look up to her because I want to be a teacher someday and I want to be an influence in someone's life like she has been in mine.

This is kind of hard but i'll give it a shot...

My Spanish Teacher: My Spanish teacher is probably the kindest person I know. She's such a fair person too. She treats everyone equally and makes it a point to be respectful and nice. I had this teacher in 8th grade (two years ago) and she was the same. I would talk to her after class and the fact that she actually took time out to sit there and listen to me meant a lot to me. She has never treated me like I was 'just a kid'. She always treated me as a person who needed to be heard, a person with ideas and opinions. And she always listened to my ideas and opinions. She was never really good at giving advice but whatever she felt she needed to say, she did. In the time that I've spent talking to her, I've learned a lot. The most important lesson I learned was that it doesnt hurt to be nice to people sometimes. This year in 10th grade, she is still the same as always. she still listens to what I have to say and still treats me the same. I dont know if I would consider us close because I dont know if thats what she'd call it, but there are people who see a difference in her relationship with me than with other students. But Mrs. G is the sweetest person I know and she's taught me a lot. I have a lot of respect for her and I hope she realizes that.

okay...i forgot sumthin: my spanish teacher also pushes me to do things that i really wanna do. I'm such a shy person that i can never muster the strength and courage to do certain things. my spanish teacher has pushed me to do things that i probably would have never done w/out that extra encouragement...so yeah...

Selena: Before Selena died I had no idea who she was. In 1997, when the movie "Selena" came out, I went to see it and thats when I learned who she was. A few months later I rented the movie and watched it over and over again. I began to learn the lyrics to her songs in Spanish. I dont speak Spanish fluently so this was a big thing for me. I started singing one of her songs and my brother in law told me that I didnt know what I was saying and that I didny know spanish and blah blah blah. He was right, I didnt know Spanish but from that moment on I was determined to learn. I spent the next three years learning every word to every song. Within that time, I really learned about my culture. Selena was hispanic, I'm hispanic. I realized how important it is to know who you are and where you come from. I also learned that its important to appreciate the fact that you are different and to appreciate the fact that even though you may not look like the all american with the blonde hair and round blue eyes, you have a different kind of beauty. I also learned that you cant deny who are because you cant change or run away from what you are.

My first name is Brittany and my hero is my former History teacher Mrs. Scaife. She was an awesome teacher and friend. She is genuinly nice and really cares about her students. She has inspired me so much I can't even begin to write it all down. One of the greatest things she did for me was convince me to care about my school work and go to college. Because of her I got serious about school, made good grades, and now I am in college on a 4 year full paid scholarship.

I look up to Vivien Leigh because she was so tortured throughout her whole life but managed to pull through it all and be regarded as one of the greatest actress's ever....and basically because she just really had so much pain and suffering...But she reached all her goals and let no one block her on her journey to do what she wanted....
