Default The one show you can't believe TV land does not air

I was looking around other boards and I answered a question that got me thinking. What is the one show that you can't believe TV land has never shown? I would say it is Alice, as Nick owns the series, and it aired on TNN but never aired on Nick which is almost unheard of now.

The Donna Reed Show.

Yes, it aired on TVL for a few months, but all TVL did was repeat the same episodes because of the special Screen Gems Deal.

I find it really odd of TVL not to air it regularly because it was a staple on Nick at Nite for 9 years.

I agree but I think it has to do wtih the network going more "modern" (ugh) Does it still air with Hazel on Sunday mornings or did they take it off?

It never aired on Sundays (It should have). It aired Monday - Saturday at 10:30am in June, July and August (I believe).

And Pavanbadal assured me N@N is the modern "classic" hits channel now, but TVL most likely won't change their policy anytime soon.

But I agree, more 50s shows should be on regularly, Donna Reed, Hazel, Burns and Allen, Dennis the Menace, etc (Not just repeating the same 36 episodes over and over again).

I agree. When they do run a great series they never show all the episodes. I was into Dennis the Menace this summer but again, they only ran certain shows. I think somebody should kidnap the President of programming for both networks and make them read this board. Maybe then they would really know what the people want!

"Three's Company"
"The Lucy Show"
"The Partridge Family"
"WRKP in Cinncinati"

Some of these sitcoms were previously on Nick-at-Nite or are airing currently. These sitcoms are indeed of a time-slot, Nick-at-Nite airs TC at 3:00am in the morning, which is not very good, and the other shows haven't been aired for atlest 2 years, It's time for TV Land to air these shows.

I really want TVLand to show The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy. While not up to the level of I Love Lucy, both were and still are popular shows and shows many Lucy fans love to watch.

The Lucy Show. It is as much of a classic show as any other show from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Its shame that TV Land doesn't air this TV treasure. Many fans (especially who are die-hard fans of Lucille Ball and the show itself) do not get the option to see this show which is very disappointing.

I think that TVLand would air more 70s shows like One Day at a Time, Partridge Family, Alice, Benson, and bring back Charlie's Angels!!!

AMEN! I'm also surprised that TV Land doesn't air a lot of the stuff it showed on Nick at Nite, like Donna Reed, Laugh-In, SCTV, Best of SNL, Mork & Mindy, etc. And other shows that need cable homes again like Too Close For Comfort, Alice, One Day at a Time, What's Happening!!, and many others.

I'm shocked that "Three's Company," (and it's spin-offs), "Maude," "Mork & Mindy," and ANY Lucille Ball sitcom (other than ILL) don't air on TV Land.

It's surprising that Nick @ Nite doesn't air "Facts Of Life," and "ALF" anymore.

"Three's Company," "Alice," and "Dallas" seem like they would be PERFECT for TVLand. I have a feeling that "Dallas" will come for it's 25th Anniversary in April '03 though. I can see them putting "Alice" in the morning slot after "Bob Newhart Show," and "Three's Company" leadig primetime before "Happy Days," and "Dallas" at 9pm (central) every night.
