Default Cussing??

It is just me, or before season 8 no one ever cussed as much as they did in season 8 and 9? Cause on "Fast Food" Nat was like "SERVE THE DAMN FOOD!!" and on "Post Christmas" Jo was like "Nat what the hell do you think you're doing?". It doesnt bother me, I was just wondering. Maybe they were trying to reach a different audience than they were in the earlier seasons. What do you think?

Yeah, I've noticed this too. It seems like once they get into the last seasons, someone cusses at least once every episode. Maybe they used that in an effort to get the point across that they girls were officially grown-up. Or maybe the writer's lost their creativity and covered it up behind the cussing. Add this one to the list of FOL unsolved mysteries.

I think its because they wanted to show the audience they were older...maybe they realized the audience was getting older so the writters wanted the girls to act older as well...also im not sure because i was too young to remember but maybe back then they got more shows on the air that cursed in them so maybe the writters thought they should too...like Slayer Faith said..another FOL unsloved mystery

It's definately to show how much the girls have matured. It tells how they've changed throughout the years and how they've grown, the writers wanted a new audience brought to this show, and wanted to point out that that they are older, and to show how they have been transformed as adults. They wanted a new image, I think they slowly tried to change their characters as they have aged along the years.

I don't see how swearing makes you sound older, or seem older, or blah blah blah. I think the show went down hill anyway, but, FOL was always a show that I figured wouldn't do that UNLESS there was a point to get across (I.E: "Get the HELL out of here or I'll beat you with my frying pan!" and 'I'm damn mad.") I dunno, but, that disappoints me...

After a certian age everyone loses there cuteness. But I think that they knew Mrs. G. didn't like them to cuss and Beverly Ann didn't really mind well that could've had SOMETHING to do with it. I dunno thats just what I think.
