I found my copy of Expose's 1992 self-titled third album and I read that besides replacing original member Gioia Bruno with Kelly Moneymaker after Gioia Bruno had to leave Expose due to throat troubles that when this album came out it was disliked by fans because Expose was copying Wilson Phillips and it was the reason why the album failed and Expose split up after that. I know that the Expose album had hits that were singles with In Walked Love which is the Wilson Phillips sound alike song that was later a hit for UK singer Louise and I'll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me which is similar to Wilson Phillips Release Me and the beautiful As Long As I Can Dream. But I also found that Expose was trying to do country with the ballad The Same Love which was a cover of a song by The Jets. Why did Arista Records give this album no promotion and did Wilson Phillips ever sue Expose for copying them?

The reason I think Expose's self-titled album failed was the new singer Kelly Moneymaker "Kelly's actual name by the way" wasn't given any lead vocals on the songs and when Gioia Bruno left the group Expose knew that with a new member they would head toward a Wilson Phillips like-image because when you looked at Ann Curless Ann was considered the Carnie Wilson of Expose Jeanette Jurado was the Wendy Phillips and Kelly Moneymaker was like Chynna Phillips and with this new image you can see why Expose's last album from 1992 was their swan song. Because they were copying Wilson Phillips and it showed in their ballads for this album
