Are Halloween commercials becoming extinct now?

This year i've have noticed very little Halloween commercials on TV and it shocks me that this year lacks any Halloween commercials or no promotion of Halloween at all. Because when I watch Frindly TV I have seen more holiday commercials for Christmas and Thanksgiving than Halloween commercials and when I was seeing Youtube Old Navy is already promoting Holiday sales and commercials and it surprised me and October isn't even over yet. It used to be that Halloween was the big affair of October and Halloween commercials would get lots of airplay in October but now it seems that they already want to get a jumpstart on promoting Christmas by airing holiday commercials early and you don't even see Thanksgiving commercials in November anymore because Christmas commercials have already replaced the Halloween commercials. When Halloween was big they would have tons of Halloween commercials advertising candy and Pillsbury would promote Halloween desserts and even McDonald's and Burger King would promote Halloween by having commercials too. I think it's simply because Halloween is not as big and they want to begin promoting Christmas by having Christmas commercials shown early this year

I think Thanksgiving and Christmas have replaced Halloween as the top holidays now and Halloween has gone to be the 5th holiday. Because as I mentioned in my opening post it used to be when October debuted Halloween commercials were seen anywhere to get people ready for Halloween but this Halloween was weak for commercials this year. Take for example I was looking at Youtube and when I was researching commercials I saw an Old Navy Christmas commercial with Jennifer Hudson and then World Market was promoting Christmas already and there was no trace of Halloween commals to be found because it seems to me that Halloween is not the big deal as it once was. And it makes me think that they already want to give people an early jumpstart on Thanksgiving and Christmas by promoting Christmas and Thanksgiving early rather than Halloween. Because you used to see Halloween commercials everywhere from candy to fast food restaurants and now it tells me that Halloween has gone out of style now

I was able to find one lone Halloween commercial today for Halloween 2024 and it was for Target and it surprised me that the only store that promoted Halloween was Target and they must've made a lot of money during Halloween. But the other commercials were promoting Christmas and even Veteran's Day

I think in general Halloween commercials are slowly going out of style and this year alone I have seen only one Halloween commercial this year and the other commercials are Thanksgiving and Christmas themed. Because I think Halloween is not as big as it used to be and the advertisers want to pay more attention to and focus on Christmas and Thanksgiving commercials rather than Halloween commercials. But when Halloween was big there used to be lots of commercials promoting it than today

I keep seeing the same two over and over. The Butterfinger one and the Burger King one.

I don't know if this a halloween commerical but it should feels like one. The ad with a frankenstein man who is bicycling through a area in Europe and sits down next to older woman. the ad looks to be for a computer tablet company. I have seen that ad a zillion times and I hope it ends with Halloween.

I haven't seen the Halloween ads today so hopefully those are over. They did play Halloween again though on Nov. 1st.

Hi Hawkee! I hate to say it but companies are so afraid of insulting some cry baby with putting the wrong costume in their commercial that they think it is not worth the risk. Just imagine almost any costume and some crybaby will accuse the company of being "insensitive" to some imaginary victim.
we live in a sad world. Hope it changes.
