I don't know how many posters who post here ever go over to the TV Land website, but they have a Love Boat message board there. And the current climate of posts is almost soley negative.
If there are any fans of this show who would like to speak out in a positive way, maybe you could check out TV Land.com...and click on The Love Boat on the message board. Just a thought... |

i've never understood why people who might hate a show feel they have to ruin everyone's good vibe on a message board!? i try to stay away from message boards that aren't positive. if there's a Love Boat board out there made up of haters, fine if they want to spout their hatred there...but don't come over to a pro-Love Boat or pro-anything board and tick off alot of people just for spite! having said that, i liked the show because it had nothing to do with the news or reality. this isn't to say i don't like reality comedy because i do- i love Norman Lear's shows but at the same time i also love Aaron Spelling's shows too!

I'm kind of dissappointed to hear that
, but I will definitely check that board out. As you know, I have a lot of positive things to say about this show! Thanks ABC1

I think the main problem is that TV Land put The Love Boat in the same time slot as The Waltons were in, (taking The Waltons completely off the schedule) and that's what's causing alot of the friction over there.
I know the day will come when TV Land doesn't carry The Love Boat anymore--but by that time, I'll have all the episodes that they are airing on videotape...to watch whenever the mood strikes me. And given what's going on in the world these days, I've been watching my tapes more than I used to. |

the thing about it is, "Love Boat" is escapist TV and mainstream America is reality-driven. during bad times it seems that escapist TV is what people want to see!? i watched "Love Boat" and i have some on tape and i think it's awful that TV Land moved the show from 8pm to 1pm. who's up to see it? people are at work or they're at school. some are asleep if they're like me and work third shift.
