This Kyra Sedgwick Flop Makes Call Your Mother Look Like a Hit

Kyra Sedgwick is best known for her Emmy winning role starring in The Closer, which put TNT on the map for original dramas. She has not had sitcom success, though. In 2021 Call Your Mother on ABC was cancelled after one season. But it got to air a standard 13 episode order. Back in 2000 Talk to Me produced 5 episodes, only getting to air 3 episodes. I only found out about this show because Regis Philbin was plugging it at the end of today's Who Wants to be a Millionaire? As was usually the case on a Tuesday episode, Dharma and Greg was next, this time followed by the premiere of a brand new show Talk To Me. Ratings for the pilot were on the weak side, tumbling even lower the next two episodes.
