Thumbs down What is the obsession with Chuck?

I don't get this. I see people here, and at jumpthshark.com(Which BTW is a really horrid and bitter site IMO) going on and on about Chuck disappearing.

WHO CARES??

Is it me or was Chuck a poorly concieved, poorly written and acted(by two different guys) character that just didn't fit with anything? He had absolutely ZERO personality and seemed to just be there so Richie had an older brother(not that he was ever very brotherly anyways. At least not much). Personally one of the best things the show did was dump Chuck. I wish they never had him to begin with.

Frankly I think the only reason anyone THINKS about Chuck at all is because he was written out. If he wasn't I think people would be going on about how TERRIBLE he was and he should have been dropped. JMO.

Ahhh! Chuck was awesome!! Especially Chuck #1. #2 was so-so. Chuck #1 was just so goofy and dumb--you HAD to love him!

Although I DO agree with you about the comment you made @ the end. Frankly I think the only reason anyone THINKS about Chuck at all is because he was written out. If he wasn't I think people would be going on about how TERRIBLE he was and he should have been dropped. JMO.
That is true..if he had stayed on, he wouldve looked like an idiot and we'd all be wondering *WHY IS THIS GUY STILL ON??!?!*

But, I love Chuck more than Roger and all those post 1980's Clan combined! To me, Chuck was like a gag...Im glad he didnt stay on...yet disappointed they didnt keep him another season or 2 for some really funny moments. If he had stayed on too long, we wouldve gotten sick of him.

Ohh yeah....

As much as I LOVE this show, I get a kick out of reading all the comments on JumpTheShark.com Some are just cruel or stupid...but some have me in stitches!! Its an HONOR for Happy Days to have a website named after them...even if it is insulting.

I'm not going to argue with you. Chuck was a character that was not going to work out, especially when Fonz took over as the big brother in Richie's life.
I think the reason why everyone is so fascinated with Chuck is because his disappearance WAS NEVER MENTIONED. He just vanished, and the Cunninghams went on with their sitcom lives.

And what about that girl on Family Matters who turned into a porn star?? I couldve cared less when she left. Although each week I wondered where she went...

Id never post there-unless I was complaining about Chachi (no one tempt me!!! ), but some of the comments are SO funny. After a while though I get sickened, but it can give me a good laugh at times. But, like I said..I feel honored that my favorite show has a website named after them...its like a statue...that a pigeon just left its marking on..
