Ted Danson's Aramis commercials

Way before becoming a household name as Sam Malone on Cheers a fact that few Ted Danson fans never knew was he was a commercial actor. Ted Danson made his commercial debut in commercials for Aramis in 1980-81. There was two commercials that Ted did for Aramis and the first one features a woman waiting for a guy to return from a trip "or business meeting perhaps?" when suddenly the plane lands and out steps a VERY handsome Ted Danson and the woman and Ted share a welcoming hug. The second Aramis commercial featured Ted Danson and a woman holding hands under an umbrella and having a quiet moment as he walks the woman home. This commercial was made to promote a special Christmas gift set of Aramis with that same umbrella for sale at stores during Christmas 1981. To be honest I didn't know Ted Danson did commercials before Cheers and Becker so I guess these commercials helped him win the role of Sam Malone on Cheers because Cheers debuted on NBC in 1982
