I would have like to see Mr. Travers come to eat at Jack's Bistro - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

After all the aggravation and stress Mr. Travers put Jack Tripper through while he was in cooking school, I think Mr. Travers should have seen how well Jack was doing for hisself since COOKING SCHOOL! I can still remember Mr.Travers saying "Tripper!!!!

Hey, you're right. How could they have not made that into an episode. He was always so fascinated by Jack's personal life you'd have thought he'd have stayed in touch.

Mr. Travers is the one Jack called "Dean", right? he's the one who was at the bake-off when Jack dressed up as Grandma Tripper and everyone got into a pie throwing fight? if that's him, who was the guy who Jack cooked chicken for and during the diner the guy's wife kept sliding her leg up and down Jack's? he looked like Mr. Angelino without a beard!

i might have my episodes mixed up. i remember and episode in which Dean Travers is in yellow, holding a microphone, and a pie is thrown in his face. i'm thinking it's the same one where Jack's dressed as his grandmother.

Those are two different episodes. The first one where Dean Travers gets hit with the pie is The Bake Off from season 3...one of my favorites!

The one where Jack dresses up like an old lady to win a contest is from season 8 and it is called Grandma Tripper.
