When my mom was a teenager she would sometimes watch Stephen King movies in the theater with her friends and she liked some of them. The most popular Stephen King movie Mom and I have seen is Cat's Eye where young Drew Barrymore's character finds a cat and names it General and the awesomest part of Cat's Eye is when a monster attacks Drew Barrymore's character while she is sleeping and General scares off the monster by playing The Police's Every Breath You Take on the record player. I wonder why Stephen King movies aren't made today because I think it's time they make movies out of Stephen King's newest books

There are about 50 Stephen King movies spanning from 1976 to 2019 and I've seen many of them.

The Life Of Chuck based on King's novella hit festivals earlier this month. It was adapted and directed by Mike Flanagan, he also adapted King's sequel to The Shining - Doctor Sleep in 2019, and Gerald's Game in 2017, Doctor Sleep is one of the best King's adaptions out there.
Also from 2023, though not actually based on King's writings, but using character's and ideas from Pet Sematary, was the prequel - Pet Sematary: Bloodlines The 2019 version of Pet Sematary I thought was pretty good. Also I thought IT: Chapter 1 from 2017 was excellent, and the sequel IT: Chapter 2 was disappointing but still good. The 3rd adaption of Salem's Lot is being released to HBO Max this October. In 2023 there was The Boogeyman, which was pretty good. Mr. Harrigan's Phone was released in 2022, one of the better recent adaptations of King's work, it stars Jaeden Martell, who played Bill Denbrough in the 2017 adaption of IT. There was also Firestarter from 2022 which starred Zac Efron, it was decent. King's novel Fairy Tale has been optioned by Universal. And TV related: Mr Mercedes is a series based on King's trilogy, it's easily one of the best TV shows I've seen. There was also Castle Rock, which featured characters from King's books. It ran 2 seasons and was really good. Chapelwaite (based on King's short story Jerusalem's Lot) with Adrian Brody was excellent. Also the limited series 11/22/63 was really good, as was the limited series The Outsider with Jason Bateman. |

My guy, why do you not research anything before making posts like this?
